We had a great time in Lexington. We loved having our families there. Pictures will be coming soon. Pete got to experience his first round of golf and did much better than expected. As far as golf goes, it was a solid week of what ifs, could have been and should have beens. I played pretty solid everyday and just couldn't seem to make the putt or hit the certain shot to keep my rounds going. I left a lot of shots out on the course each day. My dad was able to be there to caddie for the week which doesn't happen very often. So that, along with all the other family there, made for a great week!

ONE DOWN, ONE MORE TO GO!
Scott finished 8th up in Indiana. He stayed a few extra days so that he could play Victoria National (apparently it's fancy?! who knows...). He is headed back now and will be home a little after midnight. Tomorrow he will head on to Lexington, Ky for the next Hooters event.
I will be semi sitting out again this week... I'm headed up on Friday to Bardstown, Ky with the White family to see my Aunt Judy (our most dedicated blog fan). The whole White clan (including little Pete) will be out to watch Scott on Saturday in Lexington.

63
Who can complain with a 63? I sure can't.
I tried to get a nice quote for our blog but I think Scott was wrapped up in basketball to care too much. Below are the only comments I could get from him!
"I came back from just an average day yesterday. I'm looking forward to playing tomorrow. Rob and I are working on some good things."
Now, everyone can see why I make most of the blog postings. :)

64
So... I'm not in Indiana (I'm actually going a little stir crazy being home) but I wish I was. Scott seems to be playing great shooting 64 on Wednesday. He is out there with his Sports Psychologist, Rob Bell(link to Rob's website on right tool bar). I'm excited to see about tomorrows round!

Open Qualifying
Scott qualifies Wednesday at Holston Hills in Knoxville for his local qualifying for the US Open. If he gets through he will play his section qualifier in Memphis in early June.
His next tournament is the Hooters event in Indiana beginning the week of the 18th.

We are now home... finally. Our last event ended abruptly as Scott missed the cut but there were some unforeseen circumstances.
Scott found out Thursday night that he did not receive the exemption into the Knoxville Open. As much as he tried to focus on Friday, he honestly just had trouble. That's life... we've learned and moved on.
For those of you who know me, probably have an idea of my thoughts on this situation. I will not post those on the blog... that would not be a wise thing to do. Although, we will say that it is unfortunate that Scott will not be given the opportunity to play in front of his friends and family this year in Knoxville. Obviously, the Lord has other plans for us.
More than likely for those of you who will ask, Scott will not be Monday Qualifying for the event. He will be qualifying for the PGA Tour event in Memphis instead. We will already be near Memphis because there is a hooters event in Tunica MS.

Final day....
Scott played a very solid tournament. He left a lot of shots out there but still managed to have a solid finish. His round was highlighted by an eagle on 17. He holed a pitching wedge from a 126 yards. After a debate with his caddy, he chose the right club. Scott shot -9 and finished tied for 13th.
The different events are great but for Scott and I what really make them enjoyable are the people. We've stayed with the Manions many times now and absolutely love them. We couldn't ask to stay with better people and feel as though we've been adopted by them. We can't wait to see them again when we play at Fort Gordon later this year.
Our friend, Charlie Gibson (who now caddies on the Nationwide Tour), caddied for Scott the final two days.

This is such a fun event. The entire community comes out to watch the golfers. We really enjoy it here with the Manions and Tarnoskys. Scott plays his final round at 0810 tomorrow. Tomorrow several people in the Village have big backyard parties. It should be a really fun atmosphere. Our next event is in Goldsboro, NC and it's a Tarheel/Egolf event running Wed-Sat.
