We are headed to Auburn today to visit Rick and Judy and play a practice round for my first stage of Q school. I missed the cut in Savannah which is my 3rd missed cut of the year out of 18 tournaments. The week was a little weird in regards to consistent delays with the weather and not making any putts. I am looking forward to the rest of year I have four hooters events and two tarheel events left with hopefully one nationwide event in between there before Q School. My short game needs to continue to get better where I don't leave shots out on the golf course. While missing cuts do suck, I think it goes a long way to make sure how much you really want it and how hard to want to work to achieve your goals. It's a big time gut check when you seem to be working as hard as you can and not seem to be getting much out of your rounds.
We are looking forward to a great weekend in Auburn and headed to Dothan on Monday.
I know this is a little more golf talk than most of you are acustomed to but Jen thought it would interesting for me to put some input in every now and then.

Our vacation just ended very quickly...as we were headed to Charleston, just for the night, the toaster was in an accident. First off, everyone is okay. Unfortunately for the toaster it is going to need a new hind in. So, in Savannah we will have a nice rental car as our precious toaster is repaired. Again, everyone is okay.

Beach Vacation!!!
No tournaments this week. We are in Myrtle Beach, SC with my side of the family. It has been great spending time with our nephew consistantly. He is so cute. He has finally learned how to saw 'Scott' which he just loves. Pete loves the beach but loves the pool even more. Yesterday, Pete had his first experience with putt putt and was beyond perplexed when his ball disappeared on the 18th hole. Scott was useful in putt putt as well because we used him to phone a friend when we needed help. Needless to say, he lost it for me.... I can't wait to post some pictures but currently I cannot from the iPhone.

Welcome to Moes...
Welcome to Moes. Those are a few of my favorite words. That is just about all I can think about at the moment, lunch. Right now Scott is playing his practice round at River Run Country Club with Chas Narramore, Duke( chas' caddy) and TimTang. Well... Then there is me, sitting in the cart either reading or playing on the iphone. So, with some time on my hands below are some of my thoughts at the moment.
Scott really likes River Run and Northstone, the two courses this week. He is hoping for more success this week as the last couple Tarheel events have been a bit frustrating(his words, not mine). The tarheel tour is very different than the hooters. The tarheel tour is nice because it runs pretty close to Tennessee, I don't have to caddy because you ride in carts, and the purses are higher than the hooters tour. I know those sound like pretty good perks but the tarheel tour, to me, is not professional golf. It seems more like a big money game. In the tarheel tour players wear shorts, use range finders, ride in carts, and...anyone can play. Any Joe shmo can decide he wants to play, pay his money, and play in events. The hooters tour is not like that at all. They are modeled just like the nationwide and PGA tours and have their own version of Q School. With all this said, the tarheel tour takes some getting used to. Currently, we are working out the kinks.
Tomorrow, Scott tees off at 0800 on the North Stone course(they only play this course once in the tournament). You can find the leaderboard at the lovely tarheeltour.com and the tourament comenses on Friday.

Tomorrow is the final day of Columbia Championship. Scott is not very pleased with how he is playing at the current moment... he'll get it together soon.
Our next event in in Charlotte starting next Wednesday (I think).
After that event, we are going to the BEACH!!
We are both extremely excited for a break with my family!

Columbia Country Club
As I sit and enjoy the Hampton Inn I have to remember that we are here on business.....
Tomorrow the tournament begins. Scott tees off at 0903. I am pretty excited that the tour changed this tournament into a riding event. Now, I won't have to lug those clubs around!
Scott is beyond excited to play but more than that... he's excited about our free desert we had tonight! ha
You can find the leaderboard at www.tarheeltour.com
(For those who struggle to find the leaderboard, and you know who you are, you will find it on the upper right hand side of the page. The tournament is called Columbia Championship) :)

Scott is driving and struggling to sit still because he is so excited to play. We enjoyed being home but I think it was too long. Now we we're back to normal. Finally!!
