Missed cuts are always tough. There is not easy way to say it. It sucks. It's what you do with this newly found free time that matters. Scott will be working at it just as hard these next few days.
The bad thing about professional golf is that bad days are public knowledge. That's life.
Scott had a really tough hole today, his 18th (yes, which yesterday he played two under... we know). Sometimes that happens. Today, he made an 8. So what?!
I'm sure everyone wants to know what happened... well... he did not make a bad swing but unfortunately the wind caught it. His ball ended up to the right in grass up to his knees. It was a bad break and sometimes that happens. He had a tough time getting it out of the grass and it took two swings to finally get it into the fairway. If I was him, I probably would have quit. Bless his heart... but he kept at it. He finished his round today with a 74.
We are staying in California as planned but have relocated to Mill Valley, back with family. We are disappointed but excited at the same time. Life goes on outside of golf.
