We are home. We got in late last night. It may not have been the week that we hoped it would be but that is golf. Life goes on. We had a great host family down in Louisiana and we are so, so thankful for them!!
We are home now until we head to San Fransisco in a couple of weeks (which we are both stoked about).

Glad to be home for Easter to spend it with our families and especially the niece and nephew.  Looking forward to the last bit of family time before the season gets into full swing.

Day 2

Tee time today is 110. Everyone didn't finish yesterday due to darkness but that should no effect us today.
Had a great night last night with friends for Scott's 25th birthday! It's a new day today with lots of golf left!

Day 1, delay.

Delay 1. Thankful the Nationwide Tour takes great care of their players. Many times in the past couple of years some other tours have kept the guys playing in dangerous weather. NWT didn't even let the weather get close before shutting down the facilities. Right now we are playing on an hour and ten minute delay making Scott's tee time 0930.

We were bombarded with this last night

Taste of Layafette

Turtle soup, gator, gumbo, prime ribs, multiple crawfish samples, numerous shrimp dishes, bread pudding, chocolate cake, chicken fingers, ribs, duck, margaritas, BBQ, jambalaya, and the list goes on!

That was just a few of the samples of the Taste of Layafette last night. We also had a little Mardi Gras too and hopefully I can figure out how to get a video on the blog.

Welcome to LA

We made it down here finally around 8pm last night. It was a looong drive but books on tape really make the time go by faster.
We met the family that we are staying with this week and they are unbelievably nice! We are really excited.
Scott's playing in the proam this morning and excited to have carts this morning.

On the road again...
Headed to Louisanna. A year ago we went down and back in less that 48 hours (for Monday Qualifier). Thankfully, this year we will be down here for a week!

Scott has been able to play and pratice a lot even though the weather hasn't been the best. Yesterday, he set a new course record out at Cherokee Country Club which he hasn't played in a really, really long time. Things are looking good!
We like being home but are ready to get this season really going. We are both really excited for Louisanna!!

Scott had a great week last week with Rob. They worked hard and talked through many unsettled issues. Overall, it was a great week!
Scott was also able to go to the SEC championship in Nashville with one of his good friends, Josh Teater. They had a blast even though cheering for different teams.
This week we are hanging out and getting ready for Louisana. Thankfully, Scott will finally be in new clothes!! (he's been wearing the same 4 pairs fir the last 2 years!)
We are also having an early birthday party for Scott before we go. So... That should be fun! He's almost over the hill.... :)

Hope you all are doing well. I promise updates will be better once we are out on the road again!

Columbia

I was able to talk to Scott quite a bit tonight. They made it safetly to Columbia and had a full traffic stop, police escort (like the president) to their hotel, which was 45 minutes away. The tournament staff has put a lot of work into this event and it seems like it should be a great week. I do know that security will be tight all week long.
The boys are excited to see Cold Play (that's a band for all you 'older' folks ;) out there) on Thursday. I'm not sure why Cold Play is in Bogota but... The golfers are happy.
They have a proam tomorrow morning at 0700. They tend to last most of the day. I almost forgot that they were able to play 9 holes today. Scott commented on how far the ball goes(I guess due to the elevation?!).
Glad they are safe! It should be an interesting week!!
