Highlights of tonight ( other than our awesome dinner from new & old friends ). And yes... The police were called two weeks in a row.
Well... 29 on the back nine today. Pretty good round. He rimmed the cup for eagle on 18 to make the crowds go wild!

Tee time tomorrow is 11:50. Currently sitting at -14 which is T12.
Good round tomorrow then off to Wichita.

Saturday in Omaha, NE

Tee time today is 12:45!

What better way to start the day than sleeping in, Panera for breakfast, and an episode of Lost before a miserably hot day at the office.

Hoping for a great day full of lots of birdies and eagles because that is what it's going to take to continue to climb the leaderboard.

Can't wait to see all of the people out at the event today and tomorrow! Omaha definitely knows how to support an event!!

Columbus...

...in a nutshell

-we met some great people Bob, Jamie, and Zoe
-had an awesome ProAm group including the OSU football coach
-the BEST lemon and blueberry ice cream
-a nice steak and watermelon dinner by chef Scott
-car getting towed first day...my $5 sandwich turned into $130
-Missed Cut
-extremely burnt grilled pizza after two very disappointing trips to Papa Murphys
-meeting the Dublin fire department

-meeting the Dublin police

And after all this we are now driving for 12.5 hours...

Welcome to life on the road! Through the ups and downs at least we get to do it together! Three more weeks to see what other exciting adventures we can get into!
687 miles to go....

Headed to Omaha in the morning. Stay tuned for our summary of our time here in Columbus.... it will be worth the wait! :)

Anyone noticing the afternoon scores sky rocketing? The wind is blowing so hard I'm having trouble keeping my hat on.

He's got a couple holes left... He needs a couple birdies to play the weekend.
It's amazing how God works... Just when you need some perspective.
It's easy to get caught up in what we are doing. It easy to think that golf is super important...
Then, we get a call from a dear friend whom we both grew up with and he tells us that his dad passed away.
Ill tell you what....
Golf doesn't matter.

Remember today and this week as you are busy and caught up in what you're doing that it probably really doesn't matter. Enjoy your friends and family because I all goes so, so quickly.

Dan Kuban was a great man who blessed both of our lives. We are so thankful for his impact on our lives.

New week...

Scott has been up and at em for a while now.  He had a great week in Cincinnati but now it's time to start a new week... a new tournament.  This morning he is doing some blind club testing for Titleist's research and development team.  Then his is working with both his swing coach who has come up from Knoxville (he comes up every so often and it just happens to be after a great week!).  He will also be working with his mental coach too.  This afternoon he has to play in a ProAm.  Busy, busy, busy...

We're on our third of six week stretch.  Scott is beyond excited to continue.  He would much rather play week after week than have breaks like the beginning of the season.  He's game is definitely looking great.  His putting stats were awesome last week!!

Great day! Best finish yet, T5.

Great job Scott!!!

One more good day then off to Columbus to do it again!

Another hot one here in Cincinnati. Hoping for another day of great scoring.
Scott's playing great and his stats are the best they've been all year. Yesterday he hit 14 of 14 fairways! Everyone (Scott, Josh, and I) are really excited to see how his game comes around in this next long (6weeks) stretch!

Great day today, -5. Tee off time is 12:30 tomorrow. There is some weather expected for tomorrow so there may be some delays. We shall see...

We spent the evening at Kings Island tonight and had a blast!

Reds Stadium for the ProAm party.

Bnet blog is up and running. Check out link on the right side! How exciting!! :)
Made it to Cincinnati late last night. Woke up this morning to buckets of rain. The guys are out practicing and hopefully Riverbend can handle this much water.

If the rain stops we are headed to the Reds Stadium for a party tonight.

Stuck in the not so lovely city of Detroit trying to get to Cincinnati. These problems don't happen when you drive!

Sunday, July 11, 2010

Well... it was a nice interesting round today.  I will be the first to say that we really enjoyed Wayne.  He's a nice guy (at least to us!).  We also met Mrs. Gretzky.  I rode around with her for some of the round and she's such a sweet lady!  I was impressed with how many autographs he signed through out the round.  We had a nice large gallery with us most of the day, although mostly hockey fans (with terrible golf etiquette).  It was a fun experience!

Scott hates shooting par on the weekend and especially on Sunday.  He's stats are awesome and he's playing great.  He had some bad luck today.  He's excited to continue playing the next five weeks. His game is really, really good.

We love Canada but fly out to Cincinnati tomorrow for the next leg of this adventure.

Scott's playing partner for tomorrow, 9:50.

Tune in to the Golf Channel for coverage. I'm sure Gretzky will be ALL over it!

Friday, July 9, 2010

9:20 tee time tomorrow. Gretzky is playing behind us.

Round 2

Another pretty good day today, -3.  There were definitely some shots left out there.  I know he's glad to go back to Georgian Bay for the next two days. It looks like the wind has died down for the afternoon groups so scores may go pretty low!

First Round

Today went pretty well.  Overall the boys are happy.  They left several shots out there but I think they can always say that.  I think he's one shot back off of the guys that played the same course today.
Am. in the group is a great guy, Gino Reda (he's on Canada's version of ESPN).  I was very impressed with him... and he's really nice.
It's a new day tomorrow at the other course... scores were low there today.
Tee time 7:55

My Canadian "Walk"

While the boys played and practiced today I decided to hike one of the ski hills that is close to where we are staying.  Our host family hikes it often and said it would take about 20 minutes. Up until I started this little "walk" I considered myself pretty fit... mid hike I decided that was not the case. It was a beautiful challenging hike. In the last picture you can see the Bay.

We made it to Canada, aye.
Ok... So, I have a question...

Seriously, who eats Gold Star Chili for breakfast? As we sit in the Cincinnati airport I am shocked to see people eat chili for breakfast. GROSS!
Don't get me wrong... Cincinnati chili is good but for breakfast? Barf o' bucket!

We are headed to Buffalo, NY and driving to Clarksburg, Canada. It will be interesting to see Scott an josh's navigation skills. I'm excited to see Niagara Falls!!

Dear Einstein Bro Bagels,
Seeing you in Knoxville makes me so happy. I'll see you again in six weeks. Please don't close. Thanks.
Love, Jen

Next....

Well... We've had a great week home! I'm a little sad that it went so quickly.

As of tomorrow we are on to our next adventure, a six week road trip. We are heading to Cincinnati tomorrow for a quick practice round and flying to Canada on the 4th.

Let the adventure continue...
