Day 1

Brrr... It is cold this morning. It should warm up pretty quickly to get well into the 80s.
Scott is excited to get back out and play today.
We have another awesome host family this week (I like this trend we've got going!). We are also excited to see a wide range of friends and family over the next couple of days!

Welcome to Athens!

We made it to Athens this afternoon. Scott was able to spend some time with his coach, Brad Rose. They have a long day planned tomorrow.

Scott wants to give a shout out to the Knoxlife boys for their first softball win of the year! (even if the team didn't show up!) :)
We miss y'all!

Valdosta Update

I haven't done to well keeping the blog up this week.

Monday, Scott played in the Pro Am and his team won with -23.  I told him that maybe he should go without sleep more often.  He was not a fan.

Yesterday, Scott taught a clinic for the title sponsors this week First State Bank.  He is now calling himself a "bunker specialist".

He was able to sleep in today and says that he is now finally caught up on his sleep from the red eye.  Just in time.

Today is just a plain old practice round for Scott and Clay.  Katie (Clay's wife), Addison (our team mascot), and I are hanging around!

Welcome to Valdosta

We made it to Valdosta. Scott was able to shower before running out to the proam. I think he's running on 2 hours of sleep, bless his heart.
We have a really sweet family that we are staying with this week. Unfortunately, the first impression of us was 2 dirty, sleep deprived kids. Hopefully tomorrow we will be more like ourselves. An added bonus this week is that we are really close to the course.
Another week begins....

Tough Day

Missed cuts are always tough. There is not easy way to say it. It sucks. It's what you do with this newly found free time that matters.  Scott will be working at it just as hard these next few days.

The bad thing about professional golf is that bad days are public knowledge.  That's life.

Scott had a really tough hole today, his 18th (yes, which yesterday he played two under... we know).  Sometimes that happens.  Today, he made an 8. So what?!

I'm sure everyone wants to know what happened... well... he did not make a bad swing but unfortunately the wind caught it.  His ball ended up to the right in grass up to his knees.  It was a bad break and sometimes that happens.  He had a tough time getting it out of the grass and it took two swings to finally get it into the fairway.  If I was him, I probably would have quit.  Bless his heart... but he kept at it.  He finished his round today with a 74.

We are staying in California as planned but have relocated to Mill Valley, back with family.  We are disappointed but excited at the same time.  Life goes on outside of golf.

Hole 4.

Beautiful day in CA

Today was a really fun day. Scott did not play in the proam and got to practice. We also got to meet and see a lot of fun people! Scott was excited to meet Biletnikoff and I enjoyed spending time with his wife as well as Jerry Rice's wife. It's great meeting kind, geniune people. I also turned into a middle school girl seeing Nick and Drew Lachey ( had some 98 degrees flashbacks).

It really was a fun day!

We go from traveling in the toaster to Delta regulars. The toaster never let us down, Delta just did. We were finally let off of our plane after sitting for two hours, knowing that we have at least two more hours to wait.
Awesome.
