Practice day 1

Today Scott, Charlie, and Brad( Scotts coach) played the Links course. He said that the course suited him well. He also said that it looked like elephans were buried under the greens... So they must be pretty hilly. :)
He practiced for a while and the went to rest. This tournament isn't a sprint... It's a marathon.

Scott has been practicing out of the Floridian golf course these last two days. Today he played really well. Apparently, no one has gotten close to the course record, 61, in years. The record was set in 1996 (? i think that's what he told me) but today Scott shot 62!!!

He is ready to play! Charlie, his caddy, flies in tonight and they begin there work tomorrow at Bear Lakes. To check out information about this stage click here

Plans for finals!

Scott will be flying out super early on Friday morning. He will be arriving in West Palm right around 9:00 am.
He will be practicing out of the Floridian for a couple days, thanks to a good friend.
Charlie, his caddy, and Brad, his coach, will both be flying in Saturday evening.
We haven't made my flight plans yet but to expect to tonight. I will be going down either Sunday or Monday.
The tournament will begin on Wednesday the 2nd. This will be six rounds with no cuts. Everything will finish up on the 7th.
Much more to come later and I am still trying to talk Scott into posting. We will see!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I don't really know what to say. Words cannot begin to explain how we are feeling right now. The last time I felt like this was when we got married. Did this just really happen? Did he really just achieve one of his biggest goals of the year? Surreal is the only way to describe it. To say that we are blessed would be an understatement. To say that we are thankful would not even begin to explain it.

I thought that I would cry when he finished his round today but the tears never came. I know once it all sinks in... I'll have my moment. I have never been so proud of someone in my life. Watching him achieve his goal, and now mine, was and is incedible. I know there is a lot more golf to be played but this was one of the biggest hurtles. I am so thankful, so thankful, that i was able to be there this week. Those sponsors who wanted me to travel, thank you.

Once thinks slow down a bit.... We are still driving home... I'll have Scott post something.

2nd Stage/ Southern Hills

Phew... 2nd stage... we are here... WE ARE READY!!

Scott tees off on Wednesday at 08:50 and 10:00 on Thursday. They will be re-paired for Friday and Saturday.  You can find the leaderboard by clicking the word... This site will be taking the top 20 plays including ties to the final stage.

This is what Scott has worked all year for and his is ready. He is excited and relaxed.  We appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers for both Scott and Charlie, his caddy.  Pray that they can stay focused for all 72 holes, have confidence in their abilities, and relax.

*As much as we both appreciate the calls and texts … we would much rather have y’all respond to the blog this week. Send them here by commenting.  I promise to check them and relay all of the messages!! We thank all of you for your love and support. We need it now more than ever!

Wow! Another gorgeous day here in Florida!! I could get used to this weather. Scott played his first practice round yesterday and is out there now. The course, he said, is long and hard. He is really excited to play and has been preparing for this all year.

The tournament begins on Wed and is 4 rounds without a cut. I will be posting tee time later on. Have a great day!

Thank you!

Thank you to my two favorite veterans! We are so thankful for you!

We're home... but nothing exciting...

Well, we are home but nothing too exciting is going on.  Scott is working his tail off preparing himself to 2nd stage… although he is already ready.  He is confident and excited.  We will be leaving on Saturday for Tampa.  We have been so blessed, it’s unbelievable.  We are both just so thankful.
I had a great birthday and spent the day with our nephew, the cutest kid in America.  He is crazy about Sesame Street right now and one of his favorite things to say is “awwww man”.  Let’s be honest, how can it get any cuter than that?!
Randomly, Scott and I are becoming aunts and uncles left and right as our friends keep telling us that they are pregnant… although we are so excited for them… we are getting outta Knoxville because there must be something in the water!! No, really… we are so excited for all of you. You know who you are!!
Also, for another random bit…. Dad, we love you and we are so excited for you!! He’s having his big retirement party tomorrow!!  I can’t wait to begin our photography adventures!  Enjoy everything! You deserve it!!!!!!
